The Marina is well-known for its varied ecosystems, beauty, and atmosphere. However, since the turn of the 20th century, plastics, human waste, and other non-biodegradable materials have increased the pollution of this beach.
Recent measures by many voluntary organizations have begun the process to restore the beach to the way it was before and make the beach clean.
Both residents and visitors to South India rank the Marina among the most popular destinations. People can stroll down the pavement close to the sea every morning to watch the dawn because of the area's beautiful charm.
